 But the heroes were the woodland task group led by Peter Dodd who ' made good' after 500 trees were felled in April and kept a bonfire roaring all weekend. Over 30 Friends were entertained with a concert on Saturday, a BBQ supper and their support for the house is as deeply appreciated as ever. "Apart from the work undertaken" said George Hepburn, Warden, " the knowledge that so many people will toil so hard for Shepherds Dene is deeply moving and supportive of all we try and do for the rest of the year" The Friends return on November 17th to plant trees and extra hands are welcome. |
