APPOINTMENT OF HOUSEKEEPER AND RELIEF COOK

We employ a small team of housekeepers whose main duties are cleaning a large Edwardian house. We have both day guests and residential guests and, on a busy day, the housekeepers can be responsible for cleaning and preparing all 18 bedrooms. They are integral members of a small staff team and involved in welcoming our guests and helping provide a high standard of Christian hospitality.
One of our housekeepers is leaving for her gap year and we are seeking a new member of staff to replace her. We are looking for someone who could work some evening and weekend shifts. We are willing to consider part time appointments to cover all these hours and will cater for individual domestic requirements if we can.
We are also looking for a relief cook to cover for our cook’s weekend off and occasionally to cover for holidays as well. . This could be a separate post of one weekend a month or be combined with housekeeping duties. We are therefore open to suggestions about how best to fill these posts. Shepherds Dene is closed for building work this month and we hope to appoint someone to start at the beginning of February.
