| Apples from the orchard in the walled garden are already appearing in various forms in the dining room and a bumper crop is anticipated. Our apples tree include some classical varieties of English apples. Every year we need all the help we can get to pick and store them for the winter.
Friends of Shepherds Dene are gathering on Sat 24th September in the walled garden between 10 - 4 and everyone is welcome to join in. Gather in the potting shed where coffee, tea and sandwiches are available all day. Please take a few apples home with you as our thank you for your efforts. |
