ALL WIRED UP

Posted on Saturday, 04 December 2010 04:56PM by
We've wired up Shepherds Dene so guests can go online in all the bedrooms and meeting rooms.

" It may seem strange for a retreat house" said Director, George Hepburn " but many of our guests want to study in their rooms or keep in touch with their office whilst they are staying at Shepherds Dene".

The wifi installation was a baffling job for Hexham contractors J & G Swanson because of the number of thick stone walls in the house. To our delioght,  the sytem is working well. Recent guests, like members of the Traidcraft Board, holding their annual residential at Shepherds Dene, are delighted.

“The Traidcraft Board love having their annual residential meeting at Shepherd’s Dene – the staff are extremely friendly and helpful, the home-cooked food is absolutely wonderful, the house itself is clean and welcoming (especially the log fire!) and the meeting rooms are now up to business standard with full wifi internet and projector screens.  Thanks for looking after us so well!”
